Hi!
I'm struggling with a problem I have no clue how can I resolve it. I have a cluster of ESXi 5.1.0 799733 with 3 hosts and a shared iSCSI storage. I'm doing vMotion well, since my VM's file are stored at storage. These 3 hosts are managed my vCenter 5.1.0.5300 Build 947940.
Now I'd like to have a few VMs on host's local storage due some performance issues, and so I'd like to do Storage vMotion. By the way, Storage vMotion is licensed at my cluster.
I know that each host must access both origin and target storage to be able to do Storage vMotion. I also know that VMFS 5 is a cluster filesystem. Looking this[1] documentation, it says that I have to get in the vSphere web client (I prefer to use vSphere client), access the datastore and click on "Mount a datastore to certain hosts" icon. But there's no such icon!
I've also tried clicking "Add Storage" on vSphere Client GUI, selecting 'VMFS', with no success.
Attached to this post goes my cluster infrastructure. The DS_LOCAL_* are local datastores and DS_SAN_* are SAN datastore.
Where Am I messing things up ? Any help, tip or documentation pointing will be nice.
Thanks a lot for any help
