Normally we have not been using vCenter at all and it has never been installed until recently but I am not able to have it find the ESXi servers noted. It says they must be found usign the lookup service or something.
In the past these 2 servers were ESXi 3.5 and the VIclient allowed you to view and modify scheduled tasks. It no longer allows that and since this 2 servers were upgraded to EXSi 5.1 we have not been able to see or modfiy the scheduled tasks.
I find it very frustrating that I must install and use a completely unneeded 3rd system just to manage one tiny part of my ESXi servers. Why VMWare removed the ability to manage task from the VIclient is beyond me and very annoying.
What I need is another way to manage and view task without using vCenter, is that possible?
